01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
02 - Rinse asparagus spears and trim woody ends. Pat thoroughly dry with paper towels.
03 - Place asparagus in large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Toss until spears are evenly coated.
04 - Divide seasoned asparagus into 8 equal bundles, approximately 3 spears per bundle.
05 - Wrap each bundle tightly with one slice of beef bacon, tucking ends underneath to secure.
06 - Place bundles seam-side down on prepared baking sheet, spacing evenly.
07 - Roast for 15-20 minutes until bacon is crispy and asparagus is tender-crisp.
08 - Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese immediately after removing from oven, if desired. Serve warm.
